Our local loofah bath sponge is 100% natural and unbleached. It is an exfoliating bath sponge and is traditionally used together with palm-oil as a first bath for newborn babies in West Africa.
It is made out of bamboo material and the colour varies from an off-white to brown colour. It can be used as a regular exfoliating bath sponge and works well with body scrubs to remove dead skin cells and reveal a smoother, brighter complexion.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Please soak in boiling hot water before first use. This removes any debris and softens up the sponge as it is typically harder than the African bath net sponge. If you find that it is still hard, please soak for longer in hot water until it is comfortable enough to use on your skin. Leave to dry naturally in a soap dish.
